Amanemu :

A Hot Spring Haven in Ise-Shima

The Destination

Set within Ise Shima National Park, Amanemu — meaning “peaceful joy” — perches on the shores of Ago Bay, a blue expanse dotted with islets and drifting oyster rafts.

Located south of Tokyo, the resort is two hours by train from Nagoya or 25 minutes by private helicopter, providing easy access to Japan’s sacred Shinto shrines and ancient pilgrimage routes.

The Experience

Celebrating the tradition of onsen (hot spring bathing), Amanemu features a 2,000 m² Aman Spa with thermal springs feeding two outdoor pools at different temperatures, exclusive kashikiri onsen pavilions, four treatment rooms, a fitness centre, yoga studio, and a pool for aquatic bodywork.

Accommodation includes 24 suites and 8 two-bedroom villas, each with a private plunge-bath supplied with natural hot spring water:

  • Mori Suites: Surrounded by indigenous vegetation
  • Sora Suites: Views toward Ago Bay
  • Nagi Suites: Closest to the shore, panoramic bay views
