47 Years of Love & Lavender

A Luxeseven Travel Story: From Paris to Provence, Monaco & Switzerland

From Paris to Provence and beyond — a journey celebrating lasting love, slow travel, and the art of truly living.

When Mr. and Mrs. Wong reached out to Luxeseven Travel, they had one request to celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary somewhere beautiful, meaningful, and peaceful.

They wanted history, wine, scenery, and just a touch of indulgence. “Nothing rushed,” they said. “Just us, good food, and a nice view every day.” So we designed a ten-day private journey, beginning in romantic Paris, travelling through the heart of southern France, and ending among the lakes and mountains of Switzerland.

Paris – The City of Timeless Love

Their story began in Paris, the perfect prologue to any love story.

They stayed in a small luxury hotel by the Seine, where mornings started with croissants and coffee by the window. Days were filled with quiet walks through cobbled lanes, soft light over Montmartre, and slow lunches at bistros tucked away from the crowds.

For their anniversary dinner, we reserved a table at a Michelin-starred restaurant with a view of the Eiffel Tower. When dessert arrived, it carried a message written in chocolate:
“47 Years of Love — and Still Going Strong.” They laughed, toasted, and watched the lights sparkle across the city they first visited decades ago.

Provence – Lavender, Vineyards & the Art of Slow Travel

Leaving Paris, their private car journeyed south through the French countryside, where vineyards turned to fields of purple lavender.

They arrived in Provence, just in time for the season — when the air is filled with scent, and every hill glows gold and violet under the sun.
Their stay was in a charming old stone house surrounded by olive trees, the kind of place where time moves differently.

They explored Gordes, Avignon, and Roussillon, wandered through local markets, and visited a family-run winery for an afternoon tasting. Mr. Wong, a keen photographer, spent hours capturing the play of light over lavender fields. Mrs. Wong said she hadn’t seen him that excited in years.

Monaco – The Glamorous Pause

From the countryside, they continued toward the Riviera, arriving in Monaco, where elegance meets the sea.

Their private guide brought them through Monte Carlo’s old town, the royal palace, and the quiet corners most tourists miss. For two nights, they stayed at a seaside hotel with a balcony overlooking the marina — the perfect backdrop for another Michelin two-star dinner, arranged specially for their anniversary celebration.

As the evening lights reflected on the water, Mrs. Wong smiled and said, “Forty-seven years, and he still finds ways to surprise me.”

Switzerland – A Quiet, Beautiful Ending

Their journey ended across the border in Switzerland, where the rhythm slowed and the scenery took centre stage.

They boarded the GoldenPass panoramic train, gliding from Montreux to Lucerne through alpine meadows and mountain passes. Their final nights were spent by Lake Lucerne, where mornings were peaceful and every view felt like a painting.

Your story deserves the same care. Let Luxeseven craft it beautifully.

This journey was more than an anniversary trip; it was a celebration of a lifelong partnership. Every detail from the lavender fields to the candlelit dinners was crafted to reflect their story and rhythm.
